If you know anyone who struggles with an accent, whether regional American/English or other language, there’s a new app on iTunes that is a terrific course in getting rid of your accent. And I say this not just because I narrated part of it, but because I’m also a voice and elocution instructor, and this is a GREAT method. It teaches you mouth organ placement and correct sounding, as well as putting the sounds in context. The app also allows you to record your own voice and compare it with the narrator, for great instant feedback. Available for iPad and iPhone.
